The group usually meets in the cafe at City URC Church on the fourth Thursday of the month, from 2.00pm to 3:30pm.
The group’s journey through the works of the great authors of English literature has now arrived at the 1940s and will shortly move into the 1950s.
A member of the group introduces one of the author’s novels, which is discussed by the group and compared with some of the novelist’s other works and those of their contemporaries.
In October we will be reading the first book from the Eustace and Hilda trilogy. It is called The Shrimp and the Anemone.
